Football Analyst Chris Sutton Battles Singer Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts
The Gunners' 10-game winning streak came to an end by the Black Cats before the global break, however will the English top division frontrunners recover against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?
"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."
The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, against AI, fans and a range of special visitors.
In week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.
Murs' new record, Knees Up, is available on Friday.
Football and Family Experiences
Murs is a talented footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid games down the years - but he is not planning a professional return as a player.
"{I recently played in a benefit game the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!
"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or boy decides to play instead."
The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have two children, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.
"I will not push football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their weekend soccer team," he added.
"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a football club for a period too.
"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I inherited it. He coached our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Premier League Forecasts
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their offense is already more potent with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.
I still think this game will be quite tight, though. The Clarets are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.
It suggests a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third league win in a row.
Sutton's forecast: 1-2
The singer's prediction: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have lost their past two matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.
In contrast, West Ham won two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear strong again.
The Hammers' sole on the road win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest manager.
Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - can the Hammers continuing their streak under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?
I am going to go with the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season started, but they have impressed a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their last four games.
My son told me to get Brentford forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.
The forward will probably score again on the weekend but I am still not going to pick him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.
They have not had great fortune on the road this season, and Brighton are always decent at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to attack on the break but I think the home manager's side carry much more of a danger.
Sutton's prediction: 2-1
Olly's prediction: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually proves to be quite close. 1-1
AI's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their past six games.
Fulham have got lots of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.
As for Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.
Their performance in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed any other team rough up the North London side like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.
The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously able of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of October.
But I am not going to do that. Instead, I really need to continue opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they clearly love to prove me wrong.
Looking at Fulham's home form, the only team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be absolutely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.
Sutton's prediction: 1-0
The guest's prediction: I know the visitors are performing strongly and also that Fulham are on a bad streak... but they have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
The algorithm's outlook: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
It is a hard fixture to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten matches in every tournament, but could they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
